Clacket Lane release ‘The Story of the Man who Fell from the Moon
Oh my God... after what seems like an eternity, Clacket Lane are very proud to finally release their long awaited album ‘The Story of the Man Who Fell from the Moon.’
Featuring the singles ‘Out of the Dark’, ‘When the Night Comes’ and ‘Moon Man’, the album is available on the major digital download sites.
Written over two years, the album follows the story and captures the emotional breakdown of an individual following the death of a loved one. (Happy stuff yeah...?)
Described as ‘atmospheric, emotional and contemporary,’ this is Clacket Lane at their very best. Passionate and exciting, ‘The Story of the Man who Fell from the Moon’ is a welcome addition to any music lover’s collection

We’re very proud of it, we hope you like it... Thanks for sticking around!

Clacket Lane into 2009
You may have noticed that things have been a bit quiet on the Clacket Lane front recently; especially after Ben got a nasty case of Laryngitis and couldn’t speak let alone sing, but rest assured the band are still alive and well. They have been in the studio recording some of their new material (Supersonic Velvet is sounding awesome) and have taken a back seat from gigging for a while - a well earned rest.

As the new year unfolds, the band are taking bookings and will be continuing their promotion of the country’s Uni circuit. They look set to appear at this years ‘Wickerman Festival’ and currently negotiating the return of the ‘Secret Garden Party Festival.’

No doubt they’ll also be performing somewhere a bit more locally - maybe a tour of HMV’s could be on the cards.

The Gig Heard Around the World
Clacket Lane are set to go down in history on Thursday 18th September as they perform a 40 minute concert which is to be streamed live on the internet for the whole world to see. In association with Renegade Rehearsals, the band will go live at 9pm and every single person with a computer is welcome to join in. Viewers will be able to text or e-mail the studio for song requests and dedications. The band will perform to selected member of the media and music industry. Please e-mail : VIP@clacketlane.com for tickets.
Grab a beer, light up a cigarette and head on over to www.renegaderehearsals.com for your front row seat.

Clacket Lane live at HMV - 15th September
To coincide with the release of the new single on the 15th September, Clacket Lane will be appearing at HMV in Folkestone, Kent. Here they will be signing copies of the new single and exclusively performing a few tracks from the forthcoming album. The band will be arriving at Bouverie Shopping Centre at approximately half four and will take to the stage at 5 o’clock.

Clacket Lane release on 15th September
Clacket Lane will be releasing the anthemic ‘Moon Man’ on 15th September following a rising interest in both the song and the current online video made by the students of Walsall College (here). The band are now completely independent and are delighted to have the freedom to distribute their music again after the whole project was sadly shelved for so long. Lenny said; “I can’t wait, we’ve not given up during this difficult time but our fans have been so supportive and stood by us. We’ve kept as busy as we could with gigging and touring but it’s been really hard promoting an album that until now we’ve not been able to release.” Ben added; “There are so many uncertainties and questions regarding the whole music industry at the moment that in all honesty, we’re quite pleased to be out of it this time. I just wish we’d called the album ‘The Story of the Man Who Came From London’ instead, he’d have got here a lot sooner!!”
Moon Man is released on 15th September and will be available on all major digital download sites.

Zoo8
Clacket Lane performed at this years Zoo8 festival at Port Lympne. Unfortunately, the day before the festival the time slot allocated to the band was moved from the Sunday to the Saturday so we would like to apologise to the fans who missed us. The events of the festival made the national news as headlining acts dropped out last minute and stages were closed down. During an interview for KMFM, Len said; “It’s a pity there have been so many cock ups because the festival itself is pretty cool and it’s got a load of potential - I just hope they do a better job next year”

Video’s starting to appear...
Head on over to youtube.com and check out the new video’s to Moon Man and The Tramp. The students of Walsall college have been working away to produce their coursework and used the music of Clacket Lane as a template for their ideas. Moon Man is set in a deserted warehouse and is a cross between the movie ‘Hostel’ with a splash of Willy Wonka thrown in (you’ll see what I mean!!), and The Tramp is shot on location around Birmingham. Both are great efforts and the band are flattered to have been used as the basis of their work.

Renegade Rehearsals
It’s finally online and it’s looking fantastic. Renegade Rehearsals is a unique website in that it allows total access to watch bands rehearsing, recording and writing in a studio; from the comfort of your home computer. Clacket Lane have agreed to be a part of this so you can now watch them whenever you like just by logging on. Can’t wait for the next gig..? Don’t worry, watch the boys rehearse instead from a real ‘fly-on-the-wall’ position. A monthly subscription does apply and the language can get a little blue but it’s all rock and roll. Check it out and sign up now!!! www.renegaderehearsals.com

Christchurch Calling
Clacket Lane have been booked to perform at this years end of year ball at Christchurch University. The headlining band has been confirmed as ’One Night Only’ and Fearne Cotton is being tipped to compere the evening, along with Chappers & Dave from Radio 1. It's gonna be a good'un.

A Triple Video/Double Release for 2008...??
As a result of their success at the Roland Academy, Clacket Lane are in the process of recording 3 music videos with the students of Walsall college. Having aired a few tracks from album number 3 at recent gigs, the students asked the band to be the subject of their college work. The chosen tracks are 'Moon Man' and the first two chapters from 'The Girl Who Looks Like Sunshine album; the title track and crowd favourite 'The Tramp.'
The vidoes are being filmed at various locations around Birmingham and San Francisco. The band are then hoping to issue a double release of both tracks during the Summer.

Happy New Year
Welcome back my friend....

The Final Gig of the Year

Sad news for Birchington
Clacket Lane would like to officially apologise for having to cancel their performance at Birchington US Club this Saturday. The boys are so busy at the moment getting ready for the next release, but they were really looking forward to coming back to Kent to perform at the club. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond their control have resulted in a late cancellation and they would like to say sorry to the venue and to the fans who were planning on coming.
The guys are back in Kent on November 10th at The Britannia in Margate and will be giving away signed tour CD's by means of an apology.

The Lane and the Guillemots open the Academy in style
The 27th September was a special day in the musical calender, because those techno pioneers Roland branched out and opened their own musical academy at Walsall College. To mark this event, Clacket Lane and the Gullemots were asked to perform at an exclusive gig for students, teachers and members of the press and industry. The winner of the Kerrang Unsigned Band competition was also given the chance to perform and hang out with the bands.
The whole evening was compered by the UK BeatBoxing Champion, Beardy Man - what a true performer.
All in all, a splendid time was had by all and the band were honoured to represent Roland for this great evening. Thanks to all who made it happen. Click here for photos.

Clacket Lane welcome another year of students
Just when you think things couldn't get any better, they get the best!! Clacket Lane took to the stage at this years Fresher's Ball at the University of Kent in Canterbury for the third consecutive year and played the gig of their careers. The chants of 'Clacket Lane' could be heard from the other side of the campus as 2000 students rocked their way into Uni. For 90 uninterrupted minutes the band put on their most exciting performance as Scouting For Girls watched from the wings. A massive thank you to every member of the audience for making us so welcome and of course to Graham for putting on the whole show - you have it down to a fine art now my man. We had three photographers snapping away all night so we'll be uploading some new images very soon. Thanks again and we'll see you all again next year!

Clacket Lane to open Roland Music Academy
In collaboration with Roland Music and Walsall college, Clacket Lane will be perfoming at the opening of the Roland Music Academy alongside The Guillemots on Thursday 27th September at the Robin in Bilston. This new college will offer a unique learning environment where students studying a music course will have access to the very latest equipment and professional expertise the music industry has to offer.
Kerrang has also teamed up with the college to offer an amazing competition that could give your band the break you need to find success. They're looking for an unsigned act to appear alongside Clacket Lane and the Guillemots on the night. The winning band will also pick up £5000 worth of Roland band equipment. Not too shabby!! Click here for terms and conditions.

Look Out Canterbury...
Clacket Lane will be performing at the University of Kent's Freshers Ball on 22nd September. Can't wait. 'Nuff said!!

Secret Garden Party - the coolest festival.
To conclude their Moon Man tour in association with Shelter, the boys performed at the Secret Garden Party Festival in Shelter's own 'Living Room' tent. If you were lucky enough to get tickets and find somewhere to stand, sit or lay you'd have seen a Clacket Lane like never before. The band took to the stage in the afternoon sun and dressed in welly boots (oh yeah, it was muddy!!) and armed only with acoustic guitars and the barest of drum kits, they played a unique and individual set. As no electrical equipment was permitted however, they decided to leave Paul and his keyboards at home!!! (sorry you missed it pal, hope you had a great honeymoon though!!) Clacket Lane unplugged...? You bet your ass!
The band would like to thank Shelter for all their help and assistance during 2007 and for offering the band the coolest date of the year so far. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to appearing again in 2008. A special thank you also to Mark 1 Music in Deal for the loan of the guitar.
